In Korea, a bill on media reform was passed today. In a nutshell, this bill will enable major newspaper companies (aka Chojoongdong, altogether holding more than 70% of the whole subscriptions) and other chaebol (such as Samsung) to own broadcast companies in addition to what they already have.

By the way, if you **must** see how it was done, a video footage from the BBC is linked here. And let me tell you: BBC news wasn’t the only one describing the happening as a ‘brawl’.
